A pre-shot routine is a way of helping a player do three things: Plan the shot and Compose themselves and Get onto the Line of the Shot they think will pot the ball.
It’s another basic winner. Not every individual will have the same routine, but having one of some kind where you take time to study the shot and compose yourself is important. It builds consistency, and it builds up confidence.
Every coach will say a pre-shot routine is an essential part of forming a consistent and composed game.
