Useful Observations…WATCH: The Guy in this video has a great consistent pre shot routine…

In this video – observing the guy in blue’s pre shot routine provides great commentary on why having a pre shot routine that is consistent and repetitive means there’s more time to study shot selection rather than technique.

In the video – notice three things he does well:

  1. Walks into the shot the same every time

2) More or less does the same consistency and number of feathers each time

3) Ensures his cue tip is close to the cue ball and is in the right position…

One thing I do notice is his bridge hand is a little close so he hasn’t got much room to deliver the backswing, so he could, and I say, could, if I’m right maybe go a little longer on that.

Having a good repetitive cue action and pre-shot routine that works for you is important – once you get something that works for you – you can simply just focus on other aspects of the game – and that is the basis – like cooking, there are basics, but everyone has their own thing that works – and it’s just a case of practice and doing as much as you can.
