This is a shot, one of many, I played in practice frames with colleagues at Oxshott on Saturday and the shot was on a decent break towards the end of the frame and it was the last red before getting onto colours, and I managed to play a stunny kind of screw shot and get the white near enough close to potting the yellow.
It wasn’t a too bad effort considering there was quite a lot of distance between the next ball – and I managed to keep my head down and through nicely to pot the red and the position took care of itself. I mainly focused on just potting the ball and not on the position, but it took care of itself.
Sometimes, people miss because they focus on the position side and forget to focus on potting the ball. Even if you don’t get the right position, if you’ve potted the ball, you’re still in control of the table.
PS: This isn’t to scale but that is roughly where the balls were so you might have to play around with the positions to get it exactly right.
