HOT TIP: HANG IN THERE… YOUR FORM WILL COME, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT π±
One of the fascinating things about snooker or sport is how quickly things can change.
One week, the pots aren’t dropping. You’re relying on your tactical knowledge, safety play and patience to stay in frames. You’re competing hard, making life difficult for your opponents and refusing to give anything away.
The following week, everything seems different.
The cue ball is behaving. The pots are going in. Breaks start appearing and confidence grows with every visit to the table.
That’s sport.
Form can be a topsy-turvy thing. It rarely moves in a straight line.
The key is to stay in the game when things aren’t flowing.
Keep playing the right shots.
Keep making good decisions.
Keep competing.
Good players understand that form comes and goes, but discipline, patience and determination can keep you in the contest until it returns.
Sometimes the difference between a poor day and a good day is simply hanging around long enough for your game to arrive.
The weekend it was a 33 break. Last weekend it was a show of good safety and tactical experience.
Next week it could be more. Who knows? You just don’t know one week to the next. Form is temporary but class is permanent in sport.
π± Stay patient.
π± Trust your game.
π± Hang in there.
