Remarkable Snooker Shots Continued…

This was a brown I potted in one of the frames in the league match which was a great example of screwing a shot and going back down the table for a choice of reds, but there was a red near the black so that was a great positional shot.

The toughness of this was that the white was near the cushion, and so getting the screw on is tough but I managed the pot and it was definitely an example of prime screwing. You have to dig down on the cue ball when it’s near the cushion and keep your head still – any movement will mean offline.

I also played it with a trace of helping side so there was more opportunity for the white to get back down on for the reds.

Definitely a remarkable shot. They may not look like much, but they are tough – and sometimes in attacking the balls, and focus with balls near the cushion, you need focus and discipline. On some shots like these you have to have faith in your cueing.

Basics done well can achieve good solid consistency.
