Lately, I’ve been exploring that connection in a new way.
The Idea: Sizzle Videos for Local Restaurants/snooker venues
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been testing short, high-impact “sizzle” videos focused on food to promote my snooker themed cook book —quick, visually engaging clips that capture the energy of a dish from pan/WOK to plate.
So far:
- Over 20 videos created
- 16,000+ total views – that’s REAL PEOPLE WATCHING THE SIZZLE
- Averaging around 800–1,000 views per video – AGAIN – PEOPLE
- Some clips exceeding 2,000 views
These aren’t just numbers—they represent real people browsing Youtube and coming across content that makes them feel hungry, discovering dishes they might not have come across before or new takes on traditional recipes.
Why This Works
Much like in snooker, where strategy matters as much as shot-making, these videos are built with a clear plan:

- Close-up cooking action that brings dishes to life

The goal is simple:
