Woking Snooker Shootout 2024 Provisionally 17th February…

AFTER A FEW DATE CHANGES, the Woking Snooker Centre Shootout has been now provisionally confirmed as the 17th of February – according to the Byfleet League Facebook page.

This is the second Shootout event that was successful in December 2022 and was enjoyed by all who entered.

Paul Morrison, who was a member of the Byfleet League in the Premier Division scooped the inaugural event at the Surrey-based club, which was mainly for the League, but it’s expected this year to be an OPEN EVENT for all. Only a handful of non-league members got in on the first one.

George Heatley, who organized the first event well, is apparently in charge of the second event. It’s a one frame Shootout similar to the World Snooker Tour’s Shootout and the Snooker Legends 900.

Friends and family are welcome as spectators and it should be an enjoyable day of fun for all.

There is a poster on the Byfleet League Facebook page with further details or contact George Heatley with a request to enter.

This time, the event will raise funds for Woking and Sam Beare Hospice, another important community hub for Woking.

SnookerZone writer/journalist Chris Gaynor got in contact with the Press Office and the Community Fundraising Manager Louise Blair replied back, and she said: “We are delighted that Woking Snooker Centre has decided to fundraise for Woking and Sam Beare Hospice. The local community plays a vital role in raising funds for the Hospice to care for those with life-limiting illnesses to live life to the full. and to equip them to die with choice and dignity, and to support those important to them.”

We wish those who enter should the event go ahead as planned, the best of luck.
