Woking C are shining as new stars in the local Byfleet snooker league in Surrey in Division 2.
After winning six games out of seven, they are sitting comfortably at the top of the tree on 32 points, 12 points in front of second team Staines Con D, and, also, one of the four-team members, Pete Butler (whom SnookerZone will be interviewing soon) also shone yesterday after making a 63 break on the way to a 6 – 0 whitewash of Hersham Sports and Social A – their second whitewash of the league since it began in September on the 23rd.
Pete Butler, buzzing after, told SnookerZone briefly: “It was so amazing and a wonderful break.”
Former professional Robert Tavagna, made a 56 in the Division 3 league in 2016.
The highest break in Division 2 is a century made by Steven Williams (105) made in 2012.
Woking C have won six wins on the trot, and their only loss was back on September 23rd, the opening game of the season.
Ivan Astin, the Captain of Woking C, was also buzzing after when he determinedly told SnookerZone…
“Just wanna bring that trophy home to Woking now.”
