Woking C notched up yet another win in their quest to lift the Byfleet league title in 2022 in Division 2.
They were away to Walton Comrades B and clinched a 4 – 2 win on Thursday.
Their star player, Peter Butler, wasn’t in attendance, but they managed with a replacement.
It was also a good night for Ivan Astin, who, like Adam Hill and Pete Butler, is now on the breaks board of the Byfleet League.
Captain Astin racked a 26, to join Adam Hill’s 29, and Peter Butler’s impressive 63, which is the high break of the season so far.
There are four other players from other teams who are also on the breaks board so far.
Woking C are clear at the top with 55 points and there are now just five games in hand after Christmas when the League hopefully restarts on January 6th – assuming there are no Covid-19 interruptions with lockdowns or the like.
They will be playing at home at Woking Snooker Centre.
After playing 12 and winning 10, they have drawn 1, lost 1, and had one BYE.
Congratulations to Woking C for their excellent form in 2021, from September 30th.
Thanks to Captain Ivan Astin for consistently updating SnookerZone on proceedings.
Merry Christmas to all at Woking C!
SnookerZone will be back in 2022 hopefully to finish off their season.
