Ultimate Pool Delivers Another New Event for 2022…

Ultimate Pool continues to up the ante with its coverage of 8 ball pool in 2022 – as now amateurs ONLY get the chance to play live on TV – near the end of this month.

As the Ultimate Pool brand continues to strive for domination in the 8-ball pool arena, their range of tournaments continues with a new 64 person amateur event which will be televised later this month on Freesports, now considered the home of 8-ball pool.

On offer is an exciting £4K to the winner, and the bonus of lifting a title live on TV and is open to any amateur in the world who dares to dream of scooping a trophy (like Jez Graham pictured)  – and will be played later this month on the weekend of the 25 -7th March.

There’s guaranteed to be drama in this event, as Ultimate Pool has continued to provide high drama with all the events it has put on for fans.

Recently, a representative told SnookerZone when we asked a question by email about what Ultimate Pool were going to be doing for grassroots and amateur pool in future, and this was the answer: “Whilst our visibility at the moment may be seen towards the professional players, we are passionate about the grassroots and getting more people involved with the sport. Our Challenger Series this season (which was last weekend in Blackpool) has risen from 128 players last year, to 288 players this year – and we have a reserve list. We are looking at expanding these numbers again in 2023, although there are a lot of logistical issues with this that we need to figure out.

They added: “However, we are looking at other events that will cater for all ‘amateur’ players, although we want to make sure we do this properly and work with the right people for this. We may also run qualifying events to get into our Monday night televised professional competitions. – The best way to find out about these is to check our website and our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Introducing then, the 2022 Ultimate Pool Amateur Championship. The usual venue will be Snooker and Pool Players Lounge in Newcastle Under-Lyme.

It’s a straight knockout in a race to 8 frames each match.

Ultimate Pool’s CEO Lee Kendall, said: “We have been inundated with messages about and requests to join the Challenger Series after our coverage last weekend.”

“This is a considerable opportunity for aspiring players to test themselves and possibly get on live television competing for a big title and prize money.

Watch this space as Ultimate Pool continues to have new players and veterans dusting off their cues and heading down to rack a few frames of pool hoping to scoop the sweet smell of BIG moolah.
