TWO of snooker’s top stars in the women’s game from past and present have been entered into the Hall of Fame for 2022.
12-times World Women’s Champion Reanne Evans, who leads no introduction, and 7-times World Women’s Champion Allison Fisher, 54, become the 33rd and 34th players to be entered onto the illustrious list for 2022.
Fisher, who now plays on the 9-ball pool circuit, was also awarded an MBE this year for services to cue sports.
She wrote on a Facebook page: “I woke up to this wonderful news. I grew up playing snooker in England and became a full-time player when I left school at the age of 17. I competed in my first WPBA event at the age of 15 I think and first World Championship at 17.
Adding: “I left for the USA when I was 27 and have remained here for some time. I’d like to thank my parents for supporting me and taking me to events, and Frank Sandell and Frank Callan for working with me as coaches.
