Trump gets hammering at US Open…
Judd Trump’s pool odyssey at the US Open in Atlantic City is not over just yet – as he progresses into the crossover double elimination round.
The 32-year-old managed to get to the fourth round before being comprehensively defeated by top pool player Jayson Shaw 11 – 1.
But it was still an impressive experience for the former World number one 2019 World Snooker Champion who showed in the early rounds he adapted to the game supremely well.
Although they weren’t particularly formidable opponents in the early rounds, Trump still had to find the wins with his first match being a breeze against Joe Magee.
His American odyssey continues though as he sets off for Seattle for over the weekend and plays an exhibition at OX Billiards where snooker and pool fans will get an intimate meet and greet with the six-time record-breaking ranking event winner in a season, and also some lucky fans will get to play a frame with him.
Trump said on his Facebook page: “I’ll be back for some more pool but also looking forward to meeting some snooker and pool fans in Seattle this weekend. Come say hi.”
