WORLD DISABILITY SNOOKER CHAMPION David Church will be joining the Snooker Legends 900 for his second appearance on TV in the fast and furious amateur snooker event that is set for week 7 season 2 from Monday.

Church (pictured at a WDBS event in Woking last year), 27, recently competed in Russelsheim in Germany, and was victorious in Group 4 defeating William Thomson in the final in Germany.

There were 8 groups with players there from various disability categories and the winners were as follows…

Group 3 winner was Germany’s Hannes Hermsdorf, aged 30, who beat Kai Mattu in the final.

Joining Church this week in the 900 is the top amateur Ryan Mears, who plays Monday and recently competed in an English Amateur Billiard event in Woking Snooker Centre over the weekend.

Woking Snooker Centre has some top players in the club, who have competed in the 900, including World Women’s no 15 Jasmine Bolsover, who competed in week five of the 900.

Former World Seniors Champion Peter Lines is also in the line-up, as well as the World Women Snooker Tour established player Maria Catalano, Ronnie O’Sullivan’s cousin.

It is also a call up for the London Coach Gary Filtness, a regular on the World Seniors Circuit as well as the top coach and Youtube snooker influencer Barry Stark.

Nic Barrow, also a Youtube snooker influencer, also joins Church on Tuesday.

IN group five, DAVE BOULTON came through against DALTON THE DIGGER LAWRENCE, who also plays at Woking Snooker Centre.

In Group 6, Matthew Haslam came through against Peter Geronimo.

In Groups 7/8, Lewis Knowles, 45, came through 3 – 2 in the final against Mike Gillespie, who was aged 62.
