New Season of Cuestars Returns in September 2022…

Cuestars amateur snooker will return in September in Salisbury as the under-21s kick off a jam-packed new season.

From September onto December, it’s a busy schedule as Woking Snooker Center in Surrey, now firmly ensconced in the Cuestars calendar hosts two events in October.

The first is the 55 and over Masters tour on the 12th October, and a couple of weeks later on the 23rd, it’s the 40’s and over Seniors tour, where a few of the members of the club will no doubt be playing.

John Hunter, the founder of Cuestars tops the rankings in both the 55’s and 40’s Seniors list as new players from Woking Snooker Centre are added to the list with Martyn McEnroy, Mark Leonard, Jean-Marc Bancillon, Jaff Singh and Gavin Bolsover, who played in the previous 40s and over tour hosted last season.

Since the Cuestars returned to Woking first in 2021 and May 22, a string of changes have been made to the club with 20 new LED lights fitted onto tables, a new digital scoreboard for table 1, new carpets in the bar area, and regular recloths of tables.

John Hunter told SnookerZone on the last visit: “Every time I visit this place, it gets better and better.”

Recently, a handful of lucky young bright prospects for UK snooker had the time of their life visiting the top snooker abode of current Welsh Open Champion Joe Perry, who has been involved a lot with the amateur scene recently either doing snooker exhibitions or helping youngsters to improve their games.
