New Review for 2021: PropEyes for Pool and Snooker…

A new alternative to wearing snooker/pool glasses in 2021…
So, SnookerZone has been hunting around for an alternative to snooker glasses for a while now.
Snooker glasses are great, but, they can be a hassle having to replace the lenses in sending them off to places.
They’re expensive as well, and, it’s not we can’t afford them, we just haven’t got the time to be doing it.
Then…
We came across SightLifter on Ebay.
These were a disappointment as they didn’t fit our particular glasses, as the clip was too narrow and didn’t fit our fat bridge on the frames.
But then we found PropEyes…
PropEyes is a simple tool that can be worn on the bridge of your nose to help prop up your normal glasses so you can see down on the shot without the need to be wearing expensive snooker glasses or having to change your lenses – which can also be an expense.
The tool is very versatile and durable.
Any type of cue sports player can use it and is available on the Amazon US website at mo, but will be available in the UK soon, the owner said.
SnookerZone took them for a whirl last weekend and immediately can see why they could be a hit here for casual snooker players – especially those who don’t want to fork out for a pair of snooker glasses.
And they are ideal for regular players as well!
PropEyes: Verdict, Pros, and Cons…
- They are very comfortable, and it doesn’t feel like your nose is being infringed by the tool.
- They are also very easy to put on and not fiddly.
- The added bonus is you can fit them in your glasses case so you have them with you for anything when you need them. They’re not just for snooker or pool! We’ve used them sitting at the computer and it’s much easier to now sit back in a chair and type rather than upright or having to keep your neck up all the time!
Even the Club Manager at Woking Snooker Centre Peter Ruddick was interested in them and had a look on the Amazon US site to see about them when he noticed we were wearing them.
The owner of the product sent SnookerZone a free sample – a plastic set but said that some prefer the metallic version.
Cons…
The only issue, like we’ve said already, is they are not available in the UK, yet.
That said, our delivery of them was quick. We got them in roughly between a week to two!
A while back, SnookerZone reviewed a similar product, SightLifter, designed by a German company, but we were very disappointed in that product because those particular ones did not fit all types of glasses as the clip on the product was too narrow and did not fit on our glasses.
However, the PropEyes fitted perfectly (as illustrated by the pic below) and will fit even on thick bridged glasses’ frames like SnookerZone’s.

What Problems does PropEyes solve?
This is a simple product that solves two problems…
- Finding a cost-effective alternative to snooker glasses…
- Being able to see comfortably down on the shot whilst wearing normal glasses and having the same wider field of vision that you get from wearing snooker glasses…
It is also important to note that these are not just for cue sports, these can be used for computer work and anything else where you need a wider vision so that you don’t get neck strain either!
As a product, we think this is far easier than buying snooker glasses, or even changing prescriptions every one to two years.
You now have a choice.
You can either prop your glasses up with PropEyes,
Or…
Buy a pair of snooker glasses.
So…
If you’d prefer checking out snooker glasses, then here’s our verdict of them…
