Kenna a new snooker professional for 2022/23…

World number four Rebecca Kenna has been awarded a two-year tour card starting for the new season 2022/23.
The Keighley player is already playing in this year’s Betfred World Snooker Championship qualifiers at the English Institute of Sport which begin this week, but will take up official pro status from next season as a fully-fledged professional.
That means there are at least four women now on the main World Snooker Tour, with Reanne Evans, Ng On Yee, and Nutcharut Wongharuthai, who won her first World Women’s Snooker Championship a few weeks ago at the Ding Academy in Sheffield.
Kenna,33, told the World Women’s Snooker site: “This is a fantastic opportunity that I never thought I would have.
“Since joining the WWS tour, I have been committed to helping grow the women’s game at all levels and the decision to award main tour qualification status to the WWS Tour represents a huge step forward for female players everywhere.”
She is the owner of the very popular shop Cue Sports Yorkshire where she sells products and also has a table in store for private coaching.
Very well played to Rebecca, from us SnookerZone.
