Favourite Neil Robertson Bows Out…

ONE of the top favourites to lift this year’s Betfred World Snooker Championship Neil Robertson has bowed out.

Neil Robertson’s quest for a second World title has come to an end again this year.

It was a burst of five successive frames from the Warrior Kyren Wilson to win the match 13 – 8 leaving Neil Robertson with another year to ponder why he has not lifted more World titles than just his one 11 years ago in 2010 – despite the fact he has won everything else in the game.

The Thunder from Down Under lifted a third UK title this season narrowly beating Judd Trump, and then, a few months later demolished Ronnie O’Sullivan in style at the Tour Championship.

Wilson, who was the runner-up in last year’s final to Ronnie O’Sullivan will also have a lot to ponder as he is one match away from becoming a potential finalist for the second year running.
