Fast & Furious Amateur Snooker Coming in September 2022…

A couple of months ago, Ultimate Pool staged a successful amateur event LIVE on Freesports TV, naming it the inaugural Ultimate Pool Amateur Championship.
Now snooker is following suit as Snooker Legends, LIVE on TV stages a new fast and furious amateur snooker event called the 900 in September, which will see 96 players in the draw competing for a modest prize pot and for some, the first taste of playing snooker on TV!
Already, a string of amateurs have signed up for the competition, including the likes of young talents such as Ryan Davies, and Luke Pinches, and from the women’s side so far, the World Women’s Snooker Tour player Emma Parker and the 11-time ranking event winner Maria Catalano, who appeared as the first Women’s senior at The Crucible back in May.
There’s also familiar names to some such as Michael Holt (pictured), and Jamie Curtis Barrett. Holt, a ranking event winner of The Snooker Shootout, didn’t manage to make the cut to get back on the main tour for next season at QSchool.
Entry to The 900 will start at £50, £2000 up for grabs for the winner EACH WEEK. £6000 PRIZE POT every week. 96 Amateurs on TV, starts Sept 19th. £55,000 prize pot in total. pic.twitter.com/mqd02bW9d2

From September 19 the games begin. The eight weekly winners will then contest the Grand Final on 16th November in a one-off special.
All events will be staged in the Stephen Hendry Matchroom at the Crucible Club in Reading with a total prize fund in excess of £50,000.
The Snooker Legends 900 is a new concept of the game, a frame is 15 minutes in length, which is 900 seconds. A 20-second shot clock is in operation throughout. It’s going to be fast and furious.
We’ll keep an eye out for more details as they become available.
