Entries Up in Return to Stockholm for Q Tour Event Two in 2023…

THE SECOND Q TOUR EVENT of 23/24 will be held in Stockholm at the weekend, as a whopping 105 entries are recorded – up on 91 from the previous one when it was Event Four.

Liam Davies scooped the first Q Tour event of this season defeating Craig Steadman in the final 5 – 2.

That event one saw a huge 115 entries in the hat for the tournament.

Last season’s Q Tour Event Two was held in Brighton and saw George Pragnell vs Martin O’Donnell with O’Donnell scoping the event  5  – 1 at the Castle Snooker Club.

They had also met in the Woking English Amateur Tour Event with Pragnell victorious in that encounter.

One Future Q Tour will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2024.

Last year’s Q Tour playoff saw Ashley Carty scoop a win against Florian Nuessle 5 – 2.

Billy Castle won last season’s Q Tour Event four at the Snookerhallen as he dramatically ousted Andrew Higginson on a re-spotted black, in the WPBSA report and is looking forward to trying to attempt to defend his title.

That event saw 91 entries, so this season’s tournament in Stockholm has seen a reasonable increase in the number of players entering.

23 different countries are represented at this time for Event Two.

UP AND COMING EVENT FOR WOMEN…

September 17 sees the second event of the EPSB Women’s Series Event Two back in Leicester at The Winchester.

And then it’s the UK Women’s Championship in Leeds the weekend after.
