2023: End of Year World Women’s Ranking List Announced…
AFTER MARY TALBOT DEEGAN’S successful win in Coulsdon, the 2023 End of Year Ranking list has been announced for the women’s game.
IT has been a cracking year of snooker for the World Women’s Snooker Tour as the year 2023 almost ends and players reflect on their achievements and successes into December and the Christmas break.
The end-of-year ranking list has been published and sees Thai star Mink Nutcharut in first place on the list.
Originally World no 7, Emma Parker, who has been fearless on the exhibition circuit, but has also won a couple of events outside of the tour, drops two spots down to World no 9, but takes to the exhibition circuit this weekend for the Exhibition with Michael Holt.
Holt will be playing in the Grand Finals of the 900 on Wednesday.
BOLSOVER ENDS AS WORLD NO 14…
Woking star Jasmine Bolsover, who has also done a lot for the local snooker at Woking this year, with a Coaching Day earlier on in the year, and other small events, and, also playing in the Byfleet League with Woking D, has also promoted the women’s game brilliantly well by, alongside Emma Parker, Mary Talbot Deegan, and Ng On Yee and Maria Catalano, playing in the Snooker Legends 900 on TV and showed women and girls that if you dare to dream or dare to have a go, anything is possible.
Massive congratulations to @TalbotDeegan147 👏 👏 👏 We look forward to welcoming Mary to the @SnookerWoking https://t.co/YX2Zccqd3n Xmas Cracker on Dec 27 . After finishing university a couple of years ago, returning to snooker, and being well over 100 ranked in the World list, she is now World no 14 up one from 15 on the World Women’s Snooker Tour. Congratulations Jasmine from ALL friends at Woking.
It is expected that Bolsover, a 147 achiever, recorded on Youtube, will be playing in the end-of-year Christmas event at Woking, along with Mary Talbot Deegan, who has also had a fantastic year on the Tour by scooping last weekend the Eden Women’s Masters in Coulsdon and also appearing in a semi-final of the 900 on TV.
Big thanks to @ByfleetLeague for sponsoring both the high break prize & the Trophy at the https://t.co/Crkk69NpxU Xmas Cracker . Thanks to Byfleet chairman @JonesKelvin for arranging this. We’ve sold out of places now but do have a reserve list. https://t.co/g2BX8eGFx7 pic.twitter.com/lXaZdMZCds

The run in Eden pivots Talbot Deegan up to World no 6 on the Ranking list.
THE TOUR IS GROWING AND GROWING IN STRENGTH AND DEPTH…
Tessa Davidson has also had a fantastic year on the Tour, winning Seniors titles and has also been doing a lot promoting the Women’s game, and has also scooped the Winchester Women’s Series Event Four only a couple of week’s ago or so.
The World Women’s Snooker Tour goes from strength to strength in its determination to promote women’s snooker by putting on tournaments in the UK and beyond as a handful of younger players in the under-21 category are breaking through in the top 20 – with the likes of Zoe Killington et al.
It’s a top 20 spot for Australia’s Jessica Woods.
Further down the list, there are certainly players who can potentially climb up the rankings and achieve notable milestones for the next year in 2024.
It has been great to write about the World Women’s Snooker Tour this year and try to do as much as possible to promote the Women’s game, and even though we are not able to include everything in our copy, or indeed, write about everyone, SnookerZone has done the best to help in a small way to promote the Women’s game, and to promote some of the stars from around the UK in interviews, and with news reviews and general copy.
We’ve now sold out of places for the https://t.co/Crkk69NpxU @SnookerWoking Xmas Cracker Trny. There is a reserve list if you wish to put your name down on that .We’ve got a superb line up and hope everyone will have a great day. See you there 👍 @snookerhub @snookercuestars

We’d like to thank Mandy Fisher of the Tour for her interview earlier in the year, and we were also proud to have reported on the 2023 Coaching Day at Woking in March, a club we play at and are a member of since 2015, earlier on in the year, which saw two of World Women’s brightest stars offer their expertise and knowledge on to the younger stars of the future in Bolsover and Parker.
Thanks to the players whom we have interviewed so far on the site.
The 900 Grand Finals Tonight on SportyStuff TV and SKY 427 at 10PM. We will be doing our final write-up for that event.
The 900 Grand Finals are on Wednesday and will conclude yet another successful season of Amateur Snooker that has been spearheaded by Jason Francis and his team at Snooker Legends. We look forward to the Grand Finale.
