BRIGHTON hosts the final Q Tour Event of 2023 as 120 stars of the top amateurs/former professional scene parade the seaside club before Christmas.
With a strong field of players, with the likes of Peter Lines, who made a 147 in Woking in the Seniors Tour Event but weeks ago, which was a historic day for the Surrey-based club as there were two maximums made on the same day, with the other coming from top Premier Byfleet League star Mark Leonard, it’s set to be a cracking field of snooker there with a mixture of youth and experience from the field of the game.
Teenage snooker star Oliver Sykes, who has won 14 Cuestars Gold titles, who recently appeared in the TV World Professional Event The Snooker Shootout, is also one of the young stars appearing in Brighton. The field also includes an array of players who appeared in the 900 on TV including Barry Pinches, who made a ton in the 900.
Top professional Shaun Murphy made the first ever 147 in the Snooker Shootout.
There are 120 players from 22 different countries going there to Brighton.

Event Four was held in Walsall, and was won by Polish teenager Antoni Kowalski.
Q Tour Event Three paid a visit to Germany, Hellbrohn, and the German player Umut Dikme defeated Hamim Hussein 5 – 1 in the final.

Q Tour Event Two was won by 900 and former professional Michael Holt, who defeated the Welsh talent Liam Davies.
Davies scooped Event One way back in the summer in August, and defeated 900 star Craig Steadman.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JANUARY 2024…
Woking hosts the first World Disability event of 2024, with the 2024 British Open where eight groups of players are set to compete in the Surrey-based club. There are, as SnookerZone looks at it, 57 entries for the event so far.
In-house star Dalton Lawrence, who reached a final in Germany, is set to compete on Home turf.
But under a couple of weeks ago, Sykes had scooped a Gold title in the Cuestars at also SnookerZone’s home club Woking.
Woking also plays host to the MARQUEE stars of World Women’s no 14 and 900 star Jasmine Bolsover, and the 900 star Ryan Mears.
